By Rebekah with Love
Rebekah grew up and currently resides in the small town of Wiconisco, Pennsylvania. As a youth she enjoyed drawing, painting, and was taught to crochet by her paternal grandmother. As an adult her creative focus turned to fiber arts, adding the skills of dying fiber and spinning yarn as well as teaching herself to knit. Together with her daughter, Karen, Rebekah raises a small herd of French angora rabbits to provide “home grown” spinning fiber.
Fiber arts are the combination of texture and colors. The feel of the fiber in my hands and the spinning of my wheel; smooth cool bamboo fiber, fuzzy warm angora, the rhythm of the stitches on my hook or needles as they combine to form items both beautiful and functional as well as a joy to touch.
